Sunset Butterflies

$35.00

8” x 10” acrylic painting on stretched canvas. This was a meditative painting where I allow my mind to subconsciously paint to release what my subconscious wants to get out to then analyze consciously. I believe with spring around the corner and the immense growth I am coming to, butterflies only felt right. Butterflies under go a drastic transition from caterpillar to butterfly, a transition from grounded and slow moving and overall pretty helpless into a free butterfly with wings and showing off their most vibrant side. I can relate to this sort of internal transition between letting fear overcome me, the feeling of helplessness into someone who stands up for herself and loves herself. The sunset colors to me give a sense of peace and gratitude. I hope this touches someone else as well <3
